I'm not sure what type of odor you are trying to remove so here is some general advice:
If you have odors coming from carpeting then a good product to try is baking soda. Sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Then vacuum the carpet. Borax, such as 20 Mule Team brand, can also be used in the same fashion. This can be found in the laundry products aisle.
I've had good luck using Febreeze on fabrics. This is available in grocery stores and discount stores such as Target.
Salt spread over large oven spills will help absorb odor, but this is best done while the spill is fresh.
I haven't tried any of the following that came from a book I have:
Minimize odors from smoking guests by placing small bowls of ammonia, vinegar or activated charcoal around the room. You want to place these so that they aren't too visible to your guests.
Clean up stale musty basement odors by mixing 10 pounds of new clay cat litter with 5 pounds of baking soda. Place an inch or so of this mixture into 5 or 6 shallow pans such as foil baking pans or cat litter pans and place around the room.
While cooking strong-smelling vegetables such as cabbage or cauliflower, lay a layer of celery leaves on top of the vegetables to prevent odors. Or, add a tablespoon of vinegar to the water to help cut the odor.
If you have pet urine odors then I'd get a product from a vet or pet supply store that is made for this purpose. Cat urine is especially hard to treat if it has gone through to the carpet padding so you need something designed to really do the job.

Rent a carpet shampooer and shampoo the carpets, if you have carpets. Also shampoo the furniture, either using an attachment for the shampooer or using an aresol can of carpet shampoo. If it isn't too cold, open the windows and allow fresh air in. If you cannot do that, they spray Oust in the room. You may also want to purchase an air purifier, either with hepa filtration or with ionizing technology, but avoid anything that uses ozone to "freshen" the air.

i'm like this too! I really have PE contained in the morning (first era!) and right it truly is how I clean up: If my hair feels gross I placed it in a intense pony-tail for some hours and when I take it out later it isn't gross/dirty feeling anymore. continually save fragrance or some type of fragrance (bath and body works has tremendous ones) on your pe locker or backpack. This helps you smell purifier! save those Listerine Sprays (on your breath) reachable because they make tooth sense purifier and breath smell better! airborne dirt and mud on some powder contained in the locker room. It helps clean up your makeup slightly! do not ignore to have a hairbrush too!

Clean windows and wash walls. Or go the good old Febreeze or Ozium route.
