I have a roll away dishwasher that connects to my kitchen faucet. I tried to run the washer and no water is pumping into the machine (yes I did turn on the water). The power works becase it "hums" and runs the cycles but with absolutely no water. What's wrong?

The float valve may be stuck. It is on the bottom of the dishwasher, often near the front. Looks like a round plastic thing. If it is stuck in the up position the dishwasher will think it is full of water already and will not fill. Push it up and down a few times to free it up and try again. If the valves were not working, the dishwasher would never get past the fill cycle.

Had a similar issue. Typically the water inlet valve needs to be replaced (located at bottom front of most dishwashers).

Probably the water control valve.
