Also, I wear a pair of Dickies for pants and everytime i take either off, I hear the cackle of static electricity. I'm worried becaus the ScottEvest is meant to carry electronic equipment in its numerous pockets, but it seems counter-productive if it produces so much static electricity (which is, of course, dangerous to electronics.)

I just moved into a new house. Well as you may already know the house isn’t too new. The sinks, tubs, and toilets however aren’t too bad. They did get some water rings though. My niece started cleaning the restroom sink with a brillo pad while I was in the kitchen. She said “The dirt isn’t coming off” so we left that alone. Today I notice it isn’t the water damage it looks like the brillo scratched the sink. Can anyone please help me so I won’t have to buy new sinks?

What is the best way to remove candle wax from various types of dishes and holder (even jars) after the candle has burned down? I saw on a previous Yahoo Answers question that one might put a glass dish in the freezer for a few hours. Does this work for other types of dishes? Is there anything to be careful of?

I had light ash laminate floors put in about two years ago. They're still in great shape - but they've lost the sheen they had when new. Is there anything that replaces that shine? Or is the dullness just a fact of life with laminates?

My glasses have been coming out with a white residue on them for a while. you can wipe it off with a towel but you can't rinse it off. It's very fine - you can barely feel it but you can see its there. I've even tried changing the detergent and it hasn't worked.

I used a towel to clean up some grease I spilled on my floor. I accidentally put the towel in a load of laundry instead of washing it alone. Now everything in that load smells like grease. I washed the load 3 times and still my clothes still smell like freid chicken! What can I do to get rid of this smell?!

I live in the upstairs at my g-ma's house and she keeps it at like 80 downstairs, heat rises and its so hot up here. I've opened the windows but then it gets too cold. I closed all the vents upstairs. I walk around nearly (if not) naked already...Any advise to moderate the temp without all the hot and cool spots?
Thank you.

The stove is in a well insulated area in the finished part of the basement.

There is a wide stairwell to the mainfloor in the same area and the cold air from upstairs seems to be blocking the warm air from rising.

I have cream carpet in my living room. Well it used to be cream. The stains are just awful and are worse since I cleaned it with 1001 cleaner a few months ago. I would really like to clean it before christmas as its so embarrasing. Ill think twice about the colour I chose in future now that I have a toddler running about! Any good ideas?

I have a feeling, I'll be asking alot of questions in this category... We are planning on small changes over the next year to prepare our house for sale. I'll be repainting eventually and am wondering if it's alright to paint the kitchen and living room the same color? It's not an open floor plan, though you can see the rooms from each other. There is also a bathroom off of the kitchen, would I have to paint that too?
