The smell will most likely be "in" the leather than "on" it, so cleaning will do little. Leather is porous and absorbs smells and oils etc. It really depends on the source. Most spray on odor elimiators are really maskers and dont resolve the underlying problem, unless it is urine and then there are several good enzyme based neutralisers. We use a giant ionizer "ozone machine" to resolve odor on leather. We have 3 workshops so the bathroom of one is the "ozone chamber" we put the piece in with the pillows etc sitting off if possible, turn on the machine and seal the door with tape from the outside. We leave the piece over the weekend and on monday morning it smells like the air just after it has rained. A disaster recovery business that deals with the aftermath of leaks/floods, house fires, people having died and not been found for a while use these machine and may offer a service in your area or allow you to rent the machine. Hope this helps David

yes oust is great it get´s rid of smell´s fast, but if you can´t find this product, then with lemon juice on a damp cloth, wipe all the surface then , use another damp cloth to take of the stickiness, then with bee´s wax polish . that should get rid of all the smell and make your settee, look like new, Merry Christmas

Not sure how it's built, try turning it over and spraying the cloth with fabreze then washing the leather with a good cleaner, Check with a Shoe repair store. (they know more about leather then most other places)

You can try vinegar on a wet cloth, don't soak the leather, just wipe it. A bowl of water and vinegar absorbs smoke in a room.

you tried Fabreeze? Thats not too bad. I've just binned 2 of my sofa's and it wasn't until you get your head close to them (lifting them) that you realise how much they stink! I do let people smoke in my lounge though
