Where can I get informations about the different kind of soils in Britain? I want to know which soil is typical for a certain region.
For example: which soil is typical for Manchester?

Soil over here in the U.K. can change from street to street. I live in Manchester area my soil is soft black loam but others in my street have heavy clay. It doesn't really matter what kind of soil you have you can use bulk materiel to break down the clay and organic to bulk up sandy or light soil.
Hope that helps you.
