If i feed the water first through the underground heat exchanger, then through the solar panel on the roof, then through the wood chip burner if it needs extra heat.Because it can get cold here in UK in winter. Solar panel on its own might not be enough.

I have recently noticed damp patches in our bedroom. It is mainly near the window along the outer wall edge and in the corner on the opposite side of the room (inner wall between our room and the bathroom) on the ceiling. Thing is it's a bit unsightly and we have tried almost everything to stop it. We don't get it anywhere else in the house and it's the only room really that doesn't get sun. We have the heating on in the winter while we are indoors and we also leave the bedroom window open a crack. Please help it looks quite nasty!

Thanks all.

I was given a SUPER COMFORTABLE couch that was owned by two sweet old ladies. One of them was a smoker. I plan on buying a couch cover to match my homes decor. However, the couch set smells horrible. I steam cleaned it, and sprayed febreeze on it. But the next day the odor was back, not as strong, but it didn't completely go away. I need to do something to take the odor out. Any suggestions ???

Security for banks must have to deal with this problem, i wonder what the best solution would be to stop criminals getting into the attic through the roof.

I have a project that I need help. I am doing a huge Zen living room, about 2000 square feet with vaulted ceilings about 30'. There is a fireplace in the middle and I am considering a river rock (blue green) color to go with the cherry wood floors. Should I use the river rock or go with a cleaner look? Pictures of any grand style completed projects would be wonderful.

I have recently used freecycle and been given a couple of wee things for my kids. I've always just thanked the person and never offered any money. However, a friend of mine thinks I should have at least offered a pound or 2. What do y'all think?

I washed my goose down blanket, and it's not a BAD smell, but it's not pleasant, it kind of smells like dust.

The cracks are small and are vertical going from bottom to top of wall, through a window. The foundation is a concrete block design. Was told that it was caused by poor drainage. Why can't I just fix the drainage? These piers cost over 2k to install, if it can wait a year I would be in a better position to do it.

House was built in 2000 and has concrete block foundation. Crack is vertical in nature and looks to go from bottom to top through a window. There are two windows with this issue.
