Anyone have any ideas.. I am not a big fan of glue and glitter. Kinda messy and nover comes out right...

You probably won't have much time now to do this but embroider their names on them. You will be pleased with the results. Merry Christmas!

Last time we did personalized stockings, we used felt letter cutouts. You can glue them on, but sewing is more permanent. We've also done things with plastic canvas candy canes and poinsettias, then sewn those to the stockings.

Grosgrain ribbons either tacked on with thread or with "Stitch Witchery" an iron-on product. If you have the $, small charms relating to each persons' hobbies, etc. These can be attached with thread or strung on a ribbon.

I've seen them in Walmart and Toys R Us. They are distributed by a company called Stravina which is US based, should you not be in Canada.

You can buy paint markers at craft stores and Wal-Mart. They're neat and permanent.
