Things like heaters & fridges tend to break down with alarming frequency at this time of year, when you want to be kept warm & the food to be kept cold. I've got underfloor heating which never plays up - & I'm not entertaining this year, so there's no food in my fridge, either - quite literally!!!

Furnace went out here too. Furnace man came out to fix it, charged me 300.00 and still no heat. So i stopped payment on his check til he can come put and make it warm...figure that wont happen until after christmas so thank goodness for electric space heaters, flannel jammies, warm socks and sweaters.

It could - It could happen on Sunday evening then you wont be able to call anyone to find out if its just the press of a switch or a major problem - imagine sitting freezing over xmas only to discover all you had to do was flick a switch or something ;-)

is it your boiler, or just the pump? If it is just the pump, you can often unblockit by loosening the main screw and manually rotating it once or twice. Speak to a trustworthy handiman.
