zen living room project?

I have a project that I need help. I am doing a huge Zen living room, about 2000 square feet with vaulted ceilings about 30'. There is a fireplace in the middle and I am considering a river rock (blue green) color to go with the cherry wood floors. Should I use the river rock or go with a cleaner look? Pictures of any grand style completed projects would be wonderful.

River rock sound nice to go with the zen living space but make sure it's not so dark where it just looks gross and is too contrasting with the floor, try a lighter color going into more of a mint green you will get more of a peaceful vibe.
