Not really enough information...did you remove it from the water and left it out to dry and freeze?...there are annual, biannual and perennial pond plants. If you plant is an annual, congratulations on keeping it for this long--its life cycle should have been expired when the outdoor temps dipped down into the 40's and tend to be pretty cheap to replace.. biannual and perennials can endure the lower temps in hibernation and freezing them while they look bad now, should not have too much effect for the next year. in any case, dont worry too much over its current condition or waste the electricity trying to revive it.

If there's a danger that the ice hollow will freeze over, then you actually could turn off the pump, otherwise the pond ought to easily empty itself, the fish will come to no damage in water it extremely is over 20 inches deep because ot infrequently freezes deeper than this contained in the united kingdom, positioned some plastic balls into the hollow contained in the ice and eliminate them and replace them on a on a daily basis foundation so as that the gasses can destroy out from the pond, truly do no longer bang on the ice because the stress that it creates contained in the water can damage the swim bladders of the fish, in case you want to make a hollow contained in the ice, boil a saucepan of water and stand it on the ice, repeat this till a hollow develops, then put in the plastic balls (polystyrene can be used) the fish that you've are very inactive in the time of very chilly climate and could no longer feed or flow about a lot, the in effortless words hardship is that gas will advance if the exterior of the pond is roofed by technique of ice for a longish era of time, conserving area of the pond sparkling of ice will supply up any damage from the gas to the fish and the water will proceed to be healthy.

I think it is dead. Go buy another. Sometimes, it's great to start over with a new place with new plants. Have a nice day.
