I have a pollenex shower head (part of the two head system - one head and one wand type). It developed a slow leak that seams to be getting stronger. Sometimes it slows down when i turn the nob super tight but increases sometimes when water is turned on elsewhere in the house.

Is there anything that i can do about this before i call a plumber? If it is a simple fix, I would hate to spend the money before christmas.

If global warming is a real issue and saving energy is paramout, why do people still cover there houses in thousands of christmas lights, some even leaving them on over night!! Surely this isn't a great way of saving energy. Im no christmas barhumbug but this is something that really annoys me.

I've tried ironing them flat but they just curl back again. Is there some kind of tape or bordering that would work to keep them flat to the floor?

Do you really think that hotels should provide gloves to housekeepers? I mean they are clean bathrooms and soiled linen.

Okay so the service guy was here 1 week ago. Now there is water all around the furnace and the floor! I opened up the furnace and it looks like the hose was simply unattached but I'm not sure if I attached it correctly and I don't want to "BEND OVER" and take it...again...especially at $90/hr. What do you think?

The water does flush but its a very slow process w/very little "pull thru" or suction action.

I'm on a septic system that has been pumped 1 year ago. The area I live it does have "wetlands" and it has rained a lot and there is standing water (1 ft) about 200 ft from the septic field and about 5 feet below the level of the pipes. I'm wondering if the saturation of the ground w/water has a major effect on how well the toilets could flush?

I have one of the toilets actually removed from the house while doing a bathroom remodel, I was originally thinking maybe something had gotten stuck in the toilet ie. toy etc. from my 1yr old. But since the 2nd toilet is doing the exact same thing I'm now concerned about the whole system.

Please advise!

I have a memory foam pillow, I accidentally left it in the car, it snowed and is very cold outside. I just brought it in... it is frozen and hard as a rock. How can I thaw it out quickly? Could somebody explain this strange thing to me? I didn't know pillows could freeze.

My laundry is telling me they must dry clean any shirt made from materials other than 100% cotton. I went to another laundry and they told me the same thing. This sounds false, as polyester and cotton/poly blend shirts have always been advertised as being wash-and-wear. The launder instruction tags on the shirts also say they can be washed. Is there some kind of conspiracy going on among dry cleaners? ;)
