Okay so the service guy was here 1 week ago. Now there is water all around the furnace and the floor! I opened up the furnace and it looks like the hose was simply unattached but I'm not sure if I attached it correctly and I don't want to "BEND OVER" and take it...again...especially at $90/hr. What do you think?

Well Im a contractor so here is what I would do
I dont know what your problem was the 1st time but
if you paid someone to come out to fix the unit call them back and say its not working They have to come back.
They should have said there work had a warranty for 30/60/90 days
Also look on your bill as see what they did to your unit.
Lets say they fixed the motor that has nothing to do with the flu pipe. SO they might say we didnt work on that so it will be anot 90bucks. I Hate to saythis around this time of yr I see alot of people getting ripped off by contractors and handyman.
So if they come back and say that they didnt touch it then say heck with it im not gonna fix it I can pay for it. Then get someone else out to fix it.
If You check you phone book call around for the best price or free EST.
And as for the 90 a HR thats not much (It depends on where you live also)
Here in CA (90 is cheap) You have to remember they/we have to pay for
Gas/Workers comp/Company and Car insuriance/Health coverage/ Bonded/ advertizment/ And so on
There is alot of overhead. But there are guys out there that are a 1 man team that dont have all that stuff and can do it cheaper for you so cheak around and always check for the best warranty and price before you take it again.
(Ps- What did they do to the unit in the 1st place?) that would of helped me answer your ? alot better.

there are a lot of costs to have all the parts on the truck and run the truck, too. then there is all of the training the tech has to have. and he has to be paid while attending classes to stay current with all the new technology. then there are all of the tools, insurance, the building the company works out of, secretaries, phone, lights, water and sewer, taxes and more. we never look at the costs behind the service. how would You like to deal with people who are upset because something that You had nothing to do with broke. you would be surprised how people greet repair people. it's like they think that person actually made the cheap piece of junk that broke. i mean, after all, you did buy the cheapest one made and saved all that money. it comes down to the fact that he, like all of us is only human. we all make mistakes. and one other thing, sometimes things break right after something else was fixed, just dumb luck. i get more ticked off at lawyers and what they get paid to wear those fancy suits! call the company and have them come back and fix it. if that hose wasn't supposed to be left off i doubt they will charge for the service call. that's what i think. happy holidays!

You should call them back sound like they didn't fix it the first time too me. They get 55 to 60 dollars a hour whether they stay a hour or not plus parts.

unless you know what you are doing don't service this equipment because you can cause carbon monoxide death or electrical death.$90.00 is a lot cheaper than a funeral think about it.
