Ive heard that using rainwater is best, but does tapwater really do any damage? Could boiled-then-cooled tapwater be used as a substitute?

We have 2 holes that are a little bigger than a quater that have been made by some type of insect/pest. The whole is located outside on a large wooden gable that juts out over our front door. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get rid of said pest?

I have a whirlpool dryer and when I went to start it this morning it wouldn't turn on and just makes a faint buzzing sound when I press the start button. The door is firmly shut and the lint is all cleaned out and I don't know what to try next. Just wondering if anyone had a similar problem and might know what it is and if it's something that I can fix myself. Thanks!!!

The smell was caused by somebody 'cooking' pine cones in the oven to 'dry them out'.

I have already have one guest room, but I want the basement to have additional accomodations if I have a lot of guests over the holidays. My basement is fairly large. I currently have a sofa and chair in the basement. The sofa is a regular one, not a sofa bed. I also want to keep a small area set aside for an office area w/ my PC and printer, etc. I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas for how to set this up. Should I purchase a sofa bed for this area? I could use the additional seating too because I want the basement (when guests are not in town) to be a place of entertaining like a home theater. Any advice would be helpful.

For the past week or so we have had a problem with bees at our front door. They are every where. We live in east Texas and our temps have been around 70-75 during the day.
What can I use to make them GO AWAY? I've tried vinegar and ammonia but no luck.

Our Deodar cedar was planted two years ago. Last winter the tips turned brown and the needles on the tips fell off. When summer hit the tree got lots of new growth. Now the tree is mostly brown again...is this normal? I'm just curious if this is a normal thing or if it might be dying.

i did it about a week ago. the roses seem less affected than the gerberas. A few of them have gotten a few black spots but they seem fine despite that? the gerbera however has gotten dark discolourrations and looks really bad. the leaves have dry spots on them. i removed some of the leaves that looked beyond repair but i left the others. Should i just leave the plants for a while and let time play its course??? i think ive gone a bit overboard in my search for perfect roses and gerberas. even though i followed the instructions on the container i seem to have really botched up my plants. I also gave it to one of my plumbagos and it has shriveled up

Does anyone please have any success stories regarding using a pest control service, considering they have a guarantee supposedly? I am scheduled for service this coming Saturday and havent been able to sleep there (been staying with a friend) due to friggin disgusting roaches, tried sprays and advice on other stuff and it hasnt worked for me. I moved in two weeks ago, contacted leaving landlord voicemail, she never responded. So please, they are going to be charging me like 95 down and 80 ev. 2 months and I dont want to waste time or my money if this isn't even going to be a success.

I generaly keep my home inside and out fung shui. We had a death of a much loved family pet, and plan on burrying him. We also have ashes of past pets. I would like to create a cematery, for them, to honor them. But I'm afraid that if i burry the animals in my love marrage, or weath corners it will hurt those areas? Any suggestions? Ive looked through my books and the internet, and there arnt any topics of burials for pets.
