methods that avoid damage and easy enough well because i need to be careful with it its a very big tree

I have never cleaned a Christmas tree. But, ummm, if you hand cut it from a farm and there is grass in the boughs, just pull it out. If you absolutely insist on cleaning it. Take it outside and hose it down using a pistol grip sprayer.

Be sure when you put it up to cut off the bottom inch of the trunk so the tree can drink.

Alll we ever done for year's was to grab tree around the center of tree before takeing in house and lift off ground and bang back to ground hard in order to get all the loose needles of.Repeat a couple of time's or till the needle's stop falling.Unless you see a bird nest,bat or something else ne need to clean.MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Why would you need to clean a tree?
We just haul it in and put it in water and start decorating.

Take a small piece of old newspaper or cloth and wipe out the cob webs and other wastes
