If the first attempt at freezing didn't work maybe it wasn't long enough? I've used the more chewing gum method to lift off gum but it needs to be warm enough to bind together. Gonna seem odd.. but try chewing the gum that's on the jeans first for a bit. Never tried the peanut butter trick though.. anything's worth a go 'cos you aren't getting wear out of them as they are. Wish you luck.

Goo Gone is a very good product for removing anything sticky and or gummy from just about any surface, hard or soft. I've used it for many things though haven't needed to use for chewing gum. Still, it does state on the label that it will remove gum and can be used on clothing. Hope this works.
Peanut butter is good for removing gum from hair, btw------I don't think I'd use Goo Gone on that!

They sell this stuff at Wal Mart called "Goo-Gone". It really works great. You just spray it on the gum and let it sit a few minutes and the gum basically just disentigrates. I bought this for my daughters new coat that a kid smeared gum all over at school. It's the best thing I have ever tried. I highly recommend it!

If it is fresh, try to hold a piece of ice on it and then pick it off. Also you can take a piece of shcewed bubble gum right at its stickiest, (usually just when the sugar starts to fade) and try to dab it off. If it has been dried in the dryer and fused with the fabric, the trash can is the best option.

Try peanut butter and ice. My two sons got into a gum fight when they were small. My son had gum in his hair. I had to use ice to remove it. Let the ice freeze the gum & it should come off easily.
Good Luck!

If you got as much off as possible when it was frozen, the next step is Peanut butter. Rub it into the gum and work on scraping it off with a table knife (a dull butter knife). Once you get it all off massage a liquid laundry detergent into the spot to take the peanut butter out.
Good luck.

Just cut a hole around the gum. Put a patch on, or just leave a hole. People will just think you're trying something different.
