I think no on the clothes, unless they are whites and can be bleached. On the shower curtain wash the actual curtain, in the washing machine with towels. The friction from the towels takes off the mildew. I would then wash the towels again, but that shower curtain suggestion was in Good Housekeeping years ago.

Toss the shower curtains in the wash machine with terrifically hot water and lots of bleach. The bleach will kill the mildew. You can toss shower curtains in the dryer, but only for about 10 seconds. That's long enough to get all the wrinkles out. Remove immediately from the dryer and lay them out on the floor until they're cool. Then rehang.

Clothes that are safe to bleach can be laundered to remove the mildew.

If you can't use bleach use "Allersearch® Allergen Wash". You may have to buy online.

1/2- 1 cup of bleach will take mildew stains off clothes and shower curtains (have not tried color safe bleach but sure it would work) if it is really bad soak the clothes in the bleach for 1/2 hour - 1 hour. Good Luck

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I even waxed my car with it! I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.
