I had the entire house re-carpeted and the inspector said there was no mold or any bugs or anything like that. I am a pretty clean person, my house is always organized since I'm such a perfectionist yet there is always this smell of poop or something in the air. And it's not the bathroom, and no I do not have any pets. I want to impress my mother when she comes to visit next week,

I've noticed since I've had my furnace serviced that when it's running, there's a faint fuel oil smell in the house. It's not overpowering and I can only smell it when I walk between the dining room and the living room. Is this anything to be concerned about?

My friend tipped over a can of paint in the office this summer without knowing (it was in a group of paint and paint supplies) By the time it was discovered it was a glob of almost dried paint. Is there any way to get it off, cut it off, soften it, something?

so I broke the door with my face and now I need to replace it, but I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a door anywhere close to what it looks like, plus my budget is pretty minimum, but I will still spend what I need to, to fix the door, if anybody can help me with this it would be great.

I want to replace the standard cooktop I have with one of the newer flat cooktops. I was wondering if it's possible to retrofit the flat cooktop onto my existing oven or if I need an entirely new oven.

The problem: The room is not square. How can I make sure my wood floor installation will be square with the proper distance to place down shoemolds. Is there a method to this madness, I hate seeing any gaps or wood strips misalignments.

Mine keeps making clanking noises and hissing. It's an older radiator -- metal and has a knob that you can turn.

Everyone seems to love hummingbirds around their garden except me. They buzz all around my Lillies and destroy them.

I feel like poisoning them.

I've got an old ox-blood chesterfield that i would like to be more of a chestnut colour rather than the faded red colour it is. Can anyone recommend a not-too-specialist product or process that can change or tone down the colour without dyeing my clothes, pets and small children everytime they go near it?

I get excited over little things. Like, for example, yesterday we went and bought a 5 pc table/chair set, a really nice one..for only $100. I LOVE it..we didn't have a table in our apartment before and I just love it so so much. Everyone that saw me get all excited about it was just like "ummm, it's just a wal-mart table" but yah, I like it...I like it a lot...OK, I think I have officially had way too much caffeine and am wasting 5 pts on this question but why do some people have to have the best of the best and others are happy with whatever?? (make sense?)

I've seen this product that is designed to keep mice away by creating a sound that they don't like. Do these work, or is it snake oil?
