It comes from between the seems between the tile and wall, and happens in only two areas of the house, kitchen and living room. Help with this mystery!

sounds like mold.

I'm almost afraid to ask: But here goes, where do you live and how deep in the ground is this, do you have any idea what was here before you moved here and, last but not least, how long have you lived here?
You see: In Las Vegas Nevada: Silver State Trash removal got antsy when they closed their dump on the mountain, they didn't wait the specified time of ? years, I don't know how many. It was many. They made a fortune but, low and behold, some years after, the houses there started leaking a black oozy, greasy, smelly liquid.
Next scene: The State stepped in, kicked everyone out they found this in, it was contaminated with so many carcinogens they wouldn't accept it on the moon if they could get it there.
Scene Two: Law suits up the Yang: silver state tries to get out saying they were told: yaddy yaddy yaw, by the city, by the county by,,by and so on. no one had papers etc.
It comes out some officials sold out.
I don't know if you can answer all the above, I hope not, it may be leaking grease from a former garage but I wouldn't let anyone get any on them until it was analyzed.

i have seen where honeybees have built a hive between the walls of a home and the leakage from the hive went into the interior. do an outside inspection for any points of entry for the bees. if this in fact honey bees you will have to call a beekeeper (call the local extension office in the area or a pest control company can refer one) because it is illegal to use pesticides to kill honey bees (at least in N.C.). i hope that this is a legitimate question and not because you watched too many ghost busters reruns this weekend on t.v. land.

it could be tar used in the construction somewhere or in a remodel.
