Hi, I am having a wall removed in my bathroom and when the contractor put on new sheet rock it appears to be narrower than the existing drywall. When the taping and mudding guy was working on it, the gap is very noticable. The contractor said all he needed to do was fill it in but I'm concerned he used the wrong size sheet rock and just filling it in may cause cracking in the future. Does anyone know if this solution is ok or should i ask him to re do the sheet rock with the right size? We are only talking about maybe three sheets worth..... Thank u in advance.

I had a pen bust in my back pocket today and didn't realize it at the time. I jumped in my Dodge truck with leather seats and when I got out, noticed the spot. Can anyone tell me something I can use to try to remove the stain. I tried hot water and simple green, (all I had at the moment) and it didn't work. I'm desperate. I feel awful for messing up my husband's truck seat! Thanks!!!

I clean apartments. Recently cleaned one, that made me very sick to my stomach, and gave me a throbbing headache. After being gone for the night, then returning the next day, it happened again...Was I exposed to someone cooking meth? BTW, they had to repaint, recarpet and remove appliances. Also, two other workers felt the same, unfortunately, they were exposed for longer periods of time, ( 1mos)

Sometimes the noise is as if more water has been released in the system but what worries me is seconds before I hear the more water getting released, I hear water drops as if there is some leak in the system. Is it normal or does my heating system really needs to be fixed?

I replaced my old thermostat with a new digital one. The old thermostat worked but I wanted to replace it with a more up to date model. I faithfully followed the installation instructions and have checked the wiring 3 times but the new thermostat will not turn on the fan, heater, or A/C. I tried to reconnect the old thermostat but now it won't work either. I've checked the breakers at the main and they are fine. Is there a fuse somewhere that may have blown? Is there someway to check the thermostat?

I dont have allot of money but Im tired of buying the 50 dollar Kmart specials that dont work with dog hair.

Is 200 to much to pay for a G3 or G4 upright Kirby on ebay, some are reconditioned as new. Do I need to spend more? Ive scene the Rainbows but I hate the smell.

200 is allot to me so I dont want to get burned esp. on a vaccum cleaner.

Basically, the floor tiles are layed out in a diamond style setting (make room look bigger) however, there are gaps in between shouldn't floor tiles be filled in like the walls, it feels like its a bit gappy or is this the look. What if bits & pieces fall in between surley that wouldn't look right.

reach up to 30 ft in height working around
windows and other obstacles would you:

Rent a scissors lift
Erect scaffolding
Apply by sprayer and brush
Apply by power roller
Apply by brush
Apply by spray
Wash and brush the wood first
Pressure wash the wood first
Just brush the wood first with a stiff brush

We rented an old building (about 80 years old) and are renovating it for a retail space. When we started demolation we discovered a sag in the concrete that was covered by plywood-- which is inapropriate as you bounce on the sales floor--- so we ripped it up. The sag in the floor is about 22 ft by 30ft and is 6" deep on the wall side and level in the middle of the space. What would be the best way to make the floor level again. We plan to recarpet the area.

I recently moved and my cat's kitty condo is now too unstable for use. Needless to say my kitty is very sad and would very much like you to help her clueless owner. The problem is this: I have a piece of wood (is or is like particle board), roughly 1' by 3', I have a thing that is like a machine screw, except there is no "end" on it, it is just a column with threads, and I also have the same screw but it came preattached to a part of the condo, and I have something called a "TEE NUT". The tee nut was originally attached to the wood but is now not attached, hence leading to the instability. How do you screw the tee nut back in to the wood to make a stable connection between the part of condo + screw with the wood with the help of the tee nut? the columned screw goes to another part, but I can use it to help put this thing together. Help please no one else I know can figure out what I am talking about or knows how to fix it. I am talking to you home improvement gurus. Thank you!
