I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner but my budget is tight. Any suggestions on a good but cheap vaccum? Preferably under $150.

I bought a Hoover Wind tunnel about four years ago......bagless.
I live quite a ways out of town and got tired of not having bags and having to drive in to town to be able to use the vacuum. Recently a belt broke and I called the local place to replace it. Cost $2.50....cheap. Anyway, I told the guy I was considering buying a Dyson for the upstairs, so I didn't have to haul mine up and down the stairs. On Consumer reports about vacuums he said, Dyson was not even in the top 10....not worth the very large amount of money I'd need to pay. My vacuum was one of the best for a bagless......better just to get another of what I have. Cheaper too. And he said that mine was in the top 10. He sales part (like belt and brushes and bags) and does vacuum repairs. He wasn't trying to sell me a vacuum because he doesn't sell 'em, just fixes 'em.

I bought a dirt devil vision at target and it works great. Also targets website has the options for reviews as well so you can see what was given a high review. The vision was only around 80-90 bucks. We've had it a year and it works just as good as our dyson. Infact my boyfriend thinks the dirt devil is easier and better than the dyson and refuses to use the dyson.

they dont have the vision i bought anymore at target...

sebo is the best cleaner. new it is 400 but more than worth it because you will only buy it once. I went through countless inexpensive cleaners, until I got my sebo. It is made fool proof and if you do manage to have a problem it is actually made so you can get replacement parts unlike the cheap throw away kinds. www.sebo-vacuums.com

My niece cleans houses for a living. She uses their vacuums and has just about used them all. She recommended the Hoover Wind Tunnel to me and I have owned it for about 5 years now and love it. I recommended it to my mother and aunts and they love it also.
