How old is the tub? It could be that the enamel has worn down to the point to where what you're seeing isn't necessarily stains but rather the metal skeleton of the tub. Our home was built in 1960 and I have this problem. You can have a professional tub and sink refinisher come in and treat the surface with a new coating of enamel. It will look brand new.

Get you some rubber gloves and heavily wet a rag with a product called Sno-Bowl and wipe all over the tub let sit just a minute no more and rinse right away. If it's not clean repeat. This is only a once in a long while solution, use another product regularly to keep it clean. This works great, but it's really not for tubs and will remove the finish if used alot over a period of time. Not to scare you but it's designed for toilet bowls not tubs. I was ready to replace my tub so I said what the heck - it worked so good that it's been about 15 years and my tub is still going strong. We have real hard water, with rust and it's a constant battle.

I truly have an older bath that I to had a puzzling time getting sparkling. it truly is what labored for me. a touch bleach mixed with some liquid dish cleansing soap. Sprinkle about the tub some cascade or dishwasher cleansing soap. Then positioned the cleansing soap and bleach blend in and enable it set a jiffy. Works like a dream. be constructive to have on a fan or sturdy ventilation . It likely isn't to probability-free to blend a majority of those issues and so be care complete.

A product called "The Works-Tub and Tile Cleaner". I bought a house with a tub and toilet that had not been cleaned in years. Tried "The Works" and my toilet and tub sparkle. Took a couple of times of using it but it does work. You can purchase it at Wal-Mart or the dollar stores.

Go buy about 2 boxes of the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. These things are awesome. I use them all the time and it even got off Sharpie Marker off my wall! I say buy 2 boxes because once you start using it alot, they start to shrink down in size. The boxes usually come in a 2pack and they don't cost much. With those and some muscle, your tub will come clean.
