I cannot currently afford a home security system, is there anywhere to obtain the 'ADT' sign for my yard without actually getting the system, so that it looks like on the outside that I do in fact have an alarm system?

What would you do if your window cleaner put his price up?
The old guy was £9 for 10 windows and a big conservatory with about 20 panes of glass. I asked a new window cleaner and he is wanting £35! The old guy sold the round on, so to be nice to the new guy, would be good to keep him on. How do I find out what the going rate is or work out how much the job costs him? How much would you accept the price being put up for? Is it worth looking for another guy?

When drinking water out of glass that's been washed in a dishwasher, it always tastes bitter. I use rise-aid (Jet Dry), which helps minimize residual spots, but doesn't seem to help with bitterness. Should I use another brand of rinse aid, or, is it just my dishwasher that doesn't rinse throughly?

Would that be harmful to a person's butt area? You would think that if a factory could add a small amount of bleach in the cotton toilet paper, it would make for good soft toilet paper that would clean your butt. What do you think of this idea?

I'm moving into a nice studio flat shortly but it's lacking in space. The flat consists of 1 medium sized sitting room/bedroom and sperate bathroom and kitchen. What pieces of furniture do I need to turn this space into a comfortable bachelor pad.

Note that money and space are limited.

The seams are lined up great, and whenever I use tape with the mud, it ends up looking really sloppy no matter how careful I am sanding and mudding. The couple times I didn't use tape, it looks great, but my husband has a cow.

I just moved into a brand new home this summer and since it has turned chilly out I have turned on my heat and I programmed it for 72 degrees but the house is still cold and it seems to me that the vents are blowing out cool to cold air. It seems that my house is not comfortable to me unless I have the heat programmed to 80. The two rooms that are the coldest are my room and the living room area. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem? I cannot afford to have my heat up to 80 degrees for the winter.
