The wires on my new oven total 4. white, red, black and green.
The wires coming out of the wall are white, green, black, black.
As stated the only wires with current out of the wall are black, black.
I know that I should match up the oven black and red wires with these 2 black wires coming out of the wall, but does the polarity matter because of it being "AC" current?

I have inspected the hoses under my sink and usually the drain hose from the dishwasher goes to the disposal and "T's" off to the air gap, emptying out the air gap into the sink only if there is a blockage. It looks like the drain hose from the dishwasher goes directly to the air gap on the sink and bypasses the disposal completely. I am trying to save a poor family member from having to call a plumber for $300, can someone help me out??

I recently re-painted my bedroom and don't want to put the bed that I had before back in there, as it's an iron bed and the back of it seemed to scratch the paint up in a few spots. I have to save up a bit for the new one that I want, so I was just going to leave my mattress & boxspring on the floor for a while; I've heard, though, that this can ruin them, is that true? Is there anything I can do instead?

I am wondering, roughly how much should these chappies charge? How many windows do you have? A guy quote me at £35 for 10 windows and a big conservatory.

I bought a new house and the electrician installed a mains cable from the garage into the garden. Its a couple of years since he did it and he can't remember the exact location. The ground has been made up since and I can't find the cable anywhere.

My sewage vent is spilling all the waste out to the back of the house. Even if I just wash a few dishes, that water instead of going to the main sewage, it'll come out through the vent. Any ideas why? I have a regular sewage system, not septic.

3 days ago I found a pile of dead ants in my freezer, I was in shock, it looks like they are coming through the little crack between the plastic white part of the inside of the freezer and outside frame. (hope that makes sense) I cleand the freezer and put some bug spary behind and under the freezer but they keep coming in. My fridge is not even 2 years old, it's the one with double doors, water and ice maker, I found no ants in the fridge part, nothing is splilled inside no sweets except one box of ice cream (no leaks there) everything else is tightly packed meat and vegetables. Has anyone had this happen to them , what should I do? Oh, I live in California if it's of any relevance. Thank you all.

I have a washing machine and it's at my backdoor. I have had it at my backdoor for 5 years or so and since I still use my backdoor I have always had furniture sliders under the washing machine. Well all of a sudden one day about a month ago the washer wouldnt slide anymore. I bought new furniture sliders and it still wont slide they way it should with the sliders under it. Do anyone know why or what I should do?

It's driving me crazy, I think either it might be something rotten in my kitchen, or they're coming inside from the window that's sometimes open and there are trees right there. But does anyone know, like, if it's not the tree's, where are the things coming from, they are so irritating! How do I kill these damn things!
