Does preventative spraying once a month indoors and outdoors on the playground sound too frequent for kids this age?

How about NEVER?
Seriously, I would research alternative ways of dealing with whatever problem is presenting itself. Our children are already carrying a load of toxic chemicals in their fatty tissues...some of them chemicals whose use was discontiued 30 years before they were born. Why contribute to that load if it can be avoided?

I served on out district school board for 10 years and never heard of pesticides being sprayed in or around any school. Surely there is a safer answer!

It depends upon the product label. Some pesticides are in a diluted form and require more sprayings to be effective. Other products can only be used every so often. By law all products used in and around schools are very closely regulated and if the laws are not followed people will be put out of business.

Sounds like a lot of spraying to me for any school! I don't like pesticides around children. Not healthy exposure. The bugs would be less harmful. IF they have to spray for roaches, they should do it on a Friday so there is at least two days prior to the children having to be exposed to it. That would be something.
