* Sugar and Baking Soda: This excellent cockroach treatment comes from Christopher Moss who resides in Prescott, Arizona. He says this worked on the smaller Oriental type of cockroaches that tend to infest cabinets. Prior to coming up with this recipe Christopher had used the commercial type sprays that you can find at supermarkets to no avail. Boric acid bates did not work either.

There is a product out by COMBAT, called Roach Killing Gel, my friend owns some apartment complexes and uses this once a month in all units. They do not have a single roach. This was recommended to him by the exterminating company. And works miracles. You can purchase at your local hardware store for about 6 or 7 dollars a box. Depending on house size the amount of boxes needed to purchase. You cannot use with bug spray, for it kills the effectiveness of the gel. Good luck to you and God bless.

Do you know what diatamacious earth is? It is used in swimming pool filters, but if you take it and leave a trail about a half an inch wide all around the room(s) that the roaches infest, soon you will have no roach problem. What happens is the white stuff (which diatomatios earth is) causes the roaches to cross it coming and going from their dens. This stuff stick to them both ways. It also dissolves them from the inside out and their eggs too. Soon they disappear. Takes about a week or two then just sweep up the earth residue.

We were stationed in the deep south, the home of the largest roaches I have ever seen. We put Roach Hives under all appliances and furniture and then used the Borax with sugar all along baseboards and such. Also, roaches like dampness. Make sure you don't have leaks under the sinks or wet towels left in a pile. We also put most food items in plastic containers (Rubbermaid cereal boxes and such). We rarely had a bug after a week or so of implementing the plan.

A friend of mine had a HORRIBLE roach problem. This worked for her:
1.)Get a small flat container
2.)Sprinkle enough boric acid (can be found ~ VERY inexpensively ~ in the pharmacy at WalMart) to just cover the bottom of the container.
3.)Place a food item which you think will be particularly attractive to roaches in the very center of the boric acid. (My friend used a chocolate bar)
4.)Place the container under cupboards in kitchen or bathroom. BE SURE IT IS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS!!
The roaches will have to crawl through the boric acid to reach the chocolate bar. In the process they will become covered with the acid which they will bring back to the nest and attempt to clean off of themselves, ingesting it. When they die, the others will eat THEM and die themselves.
In about a month, my friend was TOTALLY roach free!!
GOOD LUCK!!

talk to the person in the "other unit" of your apartment, tell him how dirty his apartment is and gross out him until he start to call the terminator. but seriously, tell the landlord of the apartment about this issue and address the intensity of this problem. hopefully your landlord will tell the other guy to get rid of the cockroaches. you can also find out where the cockroaches come through your apartment and shut those openings.

if you live in an apartment you gonna have roach problems as long as the other units are not sprayed when yours are sprayed. you should talk to the land lord and demand that he take care of the problem. i had to furnish bug service to the people who rented from me and it was law in fl. i think if you check the law in your area it will be law there also.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

probably the easiest way is get a electonic device that get rid of them. You can put one on each socket of your apartment and wait a week and you won't see any. At BIG LOTS you 6 of them for 20 dollars and they work.
