take ur pit and put toothpicks in all 4 sides about half way down and then put in on a jar or glass of water. it will take quit awhile but eventually the roots will come and eventually a sprout. it will take awhile . make sure to keep the water up to the bottom of the seed. When u have a jar full of roots, plant it in a pot and make sure u plant it no deeper than the toothpicks.
it will take 7 to 10 years before it will fruit or u can go buy a grafted tree from a nursery and have a fruiting tree next year.

You may be able to get the pit to sprout but I think through genetic engineering it's not possible to grow a tree from the pits anymore.

Just plant the pit with water and fertilizer. It should grow.
