I've heard that armadillos are a protected species in Florida(at least here in Gainesville) and that its illegal to kill them, but, my websearches haven't turned up anything conclusive on said illegality. [Mainly trying to deal with the critters digging under a housing foundation] Does anyone know about the animals protected status? Thanks in advance.

I have tried various kinds of toilet cleaners, bleach, Soft Scrub with Bleach, Lime Away--but can't get rid of the ring in my toilet along the water line. The toilet is 9 years old and I have a water softner--if I try a pumice stone, will that hurt the toilet? Any other suggestions?

New grass is coming up from seeding and it is getting so long but with the rain and dampness we have waited. Mowed today on high setting. Did we cause any damage?

I have tried all of the major dealers, Google searches and I can't find anything about them anywhere. I just bought a house with them installed and they are already making me nervous. Good thing I work for a window manufacturer right :)

Thanks for your help!

My 2 car garage has one light fixture on the outside on one side. I bought an identical one to mount on the wall on the other side. It's wired with 12-2 3 strand and I bought some of it too. How do I connect the wiring to the new light fixture to the existing wiring. Connecting at the switch would be difficult because of an existing insulated wall. There is easy access to the wire where the current fixture is located. The light is just a 60 watt bulb.

My house is 1700 square feet, 2 stories, and has vaulted ceilings on the second floor. I will not need the bathrooms, cupboards or the master bedroom painted. So the square footage that needs to be painted is around 1,300 square feet, but that is just the floor space, the wall square footage is obviously more.

I also need the doors and the trim painted. I will buy the supplies and paint, I just need someone to paint the interior of the house. I can prep the walls and move the furniture as needed. I prefer the laborer to apply two coats of paint, and primer is not needed.

I have a few people willing to paint my house in one weekend. One is asking for $800 and one is asking for $1,000.

What should I pay a day laborer to paint my house?

I tired making baked apples last night in the micro (thanks, Betty Crocker). The apple caught fire, and I was able to blow it out. There was a great deal of smoke. Will the microwave ever stop smelling (of smoke)? Figures it had to happen on a new microwave...I REALLY can't afford to replace it!

we are putting laminate flooring in our basement and we are installing kitchen cabinentsover the top of them. I am wondering if this is ok or do we need to wait until the cabinents are in and then install the floor due to the weight of the cabinents not allowing it to still function as a floating floor.
