The only plausible explanation I can think of, is that they like other people telling them what to do. Sure, you don't have to worry about your neighbor putting a refrigerator on his front porch, but you do have to worry about the constant busy-body dictating. Who wants that?

I want to get a slim storage heater installed into a flat. Do I have to buy the heater and get someone to install it seperately or will the installation person get the heater too? Where is a good place to find a heater and also where can I find someone who can install it?

I am looking to buy a shower enclosure and want to know which are the best brands to go for. I've tried the obvious ones like Daryl and Aqualux but they don't supply quite the right type I'm after. Any suggested brands would be appriciated.

I have recently bought a Ground Floor Flat, which came with an Off Road Parking space (advertised byt the estate agents) at the front which consists of being gravel. This area we own, as it is in our leasehold details.

Anyhows, I recently got a letter from the management company telling me that the fence at the front of the place needs to be replaced with a longer one (hence cuttng off my access to the ORP space)

I beleive the owner of the upstairs wrote and complained to the management company.

Does anyone have any suggestions of actions I can take, our road is very busy, and parking is a premium. We really need this parking space so what can we do to retain it?

I have a turn of the century apartment with very old doors/knobs. They are beautiful Victorian style door knobs and I was wondering if it would be most effective to remove the knob and soak in some sort of chemical, or just scrub them to death with something. I don't want to damage the wood doors and Brasso wasn't quite doing the trick, i need something industrial for these babies. Any sort of chemical I can use? I just get frusterated looking for these things at the hardware store. Thanks!

I have to move out of my aprtment the 26th of this month. I have no family to help, no friends that care, and two children who I need to provide shelter for. I don't even have a car for us to sleep in, and its starting to get cold out there at night. People don't want to rent to me because of bad references from previous landlord. I'm almost to the point where i want to put my kids into foster care, and basically just give up. Life is so unfair and so full of misery. I live in
turlock Ca. and I am on section 8, if theres anybody who can help, advice or whatever i would appreciate it
