Get her something that you know she will enjoy. Or something that she may need. I wouldn't recommend getting her an appliance like a vacuum or anything like that unless she like those type's of gifts. On my last birthday my husband took me on a really romantic weekend getaway. Very nice hotel with lots of flowers, champagne. And then we went for a moon light carriage ride. It was great. Then he did a cake etc.. at home with our kids and family. Good luck.

Best thing i could say is. pretend you forgot it is her birthday and act like its just a normal day, then at night, say your going to the pub and take her with you, but instead of going to the pub, take her to a nice resturant and have ballons and candles at your table when you walk in, then the rest is up to you.

Take her to a fancy resaturant and show her how much you care. Put a ring in her ice-cream of somehting sweet like you see in the movies...lol.. good luck
