The ladybugs are coming out of the woodwork...literally.
Any tips on how to get rid of them?
I wouldn't mind a few, but when I woke up this morning, there were at least 30 on the bedroom ceiling alone.

I've been told if I take it down, that's legal; but if contractor does it w/out a certificate then he is breaking the law. How dangerous is "low risk"? Years ago I removed asbestos sheets from a garage roof, having been told by Building Regs. people that the asbestos products were over 90% cement and the asbestos used was not the dangerous stuff, like they used in lagging pipes. Presumably my old gutters and soffits are the same as they were put up 40 yrs ago. I'm now very confused , it seems to be a case of double standards. Any help appreciated, thanks

I'm thinking of setting up my own gardening business. What's the going rate for mowing, weeding, clearing, planting, pruning, laying paths and patios, installing sheds, decking, fencing, outdoor lights, ponds etc?

We have an outlet pipe from the bath and sink that have very little angle to them and keep blocking up. Nothing seems to completely cure it and we will replace them ASAP.

But in the mean time we have used several commercially available unblockers and used caustic soda in every possble strength combination and in conjunction with a plunger.

Now out of ideas!

Has anybody got any other ideas to keep it clear until we can replace it next year?

"Natural" remedies IF possible, although dynamite and flame throwers MAY soon be considered : -)

Many thanks

Gary

How do I stand, legally.
I was cold-called at home, by a British Gas rep, who promised great savings. I changed my supplier
After checking out all the promises, it was going to cost me more to be with BG than my previous supplier. I cancelled BG and went back to my other supplier. I was with BG for 41 days, apparently (I am sure it ws less, but probably time taken to make the changeover pushed it up to 41)
BG are charging me for energy used (fair enough), but are also adding a £20 disconnection charge on top. Since this was not mentioned by their doorstep representative, can I refuse to pay this charge?
