The ladybugs are coming out of the woodwork...literally.
Any tips on how to get rid of them?
I wouldn't mind a few, but when I woke up this morning, there were at least 30 on the bedroom ceiling alone.

The solution involves some work. Get 3 tubes of caulk and a caulk gun and go aroung your house (especially on the west and south side, and fill every crack and hole you find. That will solve the problem permanently.

They have a habit of getting in between the outer wall and inner wall of your house. Once in there you can't poison them. If they find a crack in the inside wall--well, then you have your problem.

You can sparay the sides of your house with liquid sevin or malathion when they are swarming and kill them that way but you have to do that every year and who really wants to live in a house coated with pesticide?

This is the time of year when ladybugs die. Anyone who uses that cobweb stuff on their bushes for Halloween decorations will see tons of them.

Plug up any gaps in your windows/screens, and just wait it out. It's only a few weeks and they're really harmless, though I agree I wouldn't want 30 of them on my ceiling.

If you're currently going about killing them, consider instead taking a paper or styrofoam cup, and placing it over each bug. Then gently slide a piece of paper between the cup and the wall/ceiling surface to force the bug into the cup. Then put them back outside in the bushes.

We vacum them and then empty the bag. I have also heard of putting moth balls around the foundation of your house. I know that one works on spiders.
