Hi. I heard that if you have a new bathroom in your house that's been created without a permit or without a licensed plumber and an architect's plans filed to alter your house, then that could be a problem in the future when you want to sell your home. First, is it true that there can be such a thing as an "illegal" bathroom if you do it youself, and, if so, how do you resolve the issue after it's already been made??? Thanks.

We currently are living in Arizona. I am in the middle of removing all of the rock that is in the front and back yard. I saw this grass in a Better homes& Gardens magazine, and would love to have it for ground cover in my yard instead of the typical grass. I am looking to find where I can purchase it at.

I just bought and received a 3" twin size Soft Sleeper memory foam mattress topper. My friend has another memory foam topper, but had problems with his because he didn't let it expand enough before using it. How long should I let it expand for to avoid doing damage to it? Is it going to grow much? The dimensions online said 76" x 37" x 3", but it's only about 68" x 30" x 2.5" right now. Also, any hints for getting that awful smell out? Should I just use some Frebreeze?

This silver tray is an antique, 1886-1900. It was packaged with small round bowls, hence the semi-circle dents.

The two new lights were made to plug into a socket but, I want to wire them into the outlet from which a single light hung over our dinning room table. I was told I need a "canopy" fixture or set but, I'm not clear on what I need and how I do it.

Can anyone give me some advice, i have hot water, my radiators are working in the attic rooms but not in my bedroom the kitchen and lounge, i have bled them to no avail, any ideas before i call in an expensive plumber. thanks.

I know nothing about heating systems, so forgive my ignorance, please - but I want to install radiators all over my house, connect them with pipes, install an electric pump somewhere to pump the water through, and have the water heated electrically by an ordinary hot water cylinder. In the long run, I want to feed in power generated with solar panels on the roof of the house and by wind turbines. I live in a climate that's very windy and extremely sunny, but chilly (30 to 60 Fahrenheit every day, some frost), and my house will need about 10 radiators and living space covers around 150 square meters of miserably insulated, 100-year old wood construction with single glazing.
Does this sound like it can be done, and may even be a good idea, or should I do something else (would be grateful for alternatives if so).
Cheers.

I've had bad luck with landlords for the past 3 years. I am currently looking for a new apartment or house but the old landlords will definatly say terrible things about me though I truely have done nothing wrong.

I'm trying to create a garden of rest, attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and even moths if that would be possible. I want it to be an idyllic place, popullated by delicate flutters. Incidentally, my husband is a keen entomologist, and would any of you know where he could get a quart of ethyl acetate? Ta, and GOD BLESSxx

I was thinking about painting the entire interior of my house by myself (with my wife's help). We HATE painting and to do two walls it took us one whole day!

We have a 3 bedroom house with vaulted ceilings, so it is going to take at least 4 weekends. The problem is my wife and I want to try for our first baby in January, and with the holidays and vacations, we don't have the time or energy to paint the house in less than 3 months. I don't want to paint when she gets pregnant, so it needs to be done asap.

My friend (a painter) offered to paint my house. I will supply him wth all the paint and stuff and he will bring 2 of his co-workers (all painters) and have it done in one weekend.

Should I just pay my friend $800 to paint our house interior? Should I just bite the bullet and pay the money so we don't have to stress over it?
