I'm trying to create a garden of rest, attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and even moths if that would be possible. I want it to be an idyllic place, popullated by delicate flutters. Incidentally, my husband is a keen entomologist, and would any of you know where he could get a quart of ethyl acetate? Ta, and GOD BLESSxx

There are many plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Most have tubular flowers, like trumpet vine, lantana, salvia, honeysuckle, etc. To make the sugar water mix one part sugar to four parts water, heat to boiling and cool, store in the fridge.
Plant a greens garden for the larvae to eat, like collards, swiss chard and lettuces. I build butterfly houses, but I have yet to see any butterflies enter.
