If you have an Ice dispenser, you have a side by side fridge. Side by sides have an auger which turns the cubes forward. Either its blocked with ice, or its broken...the auger. Best solution is, remove the ice bucket in which the auger sits, and before running hot water over the ice to free it, see if the auger has shifted up or sideways. Thats a an indication its the auger.

If you've done all this and replaced the bucket and auger back into the freezer and it still doesnt work, then its the electrical switch which is activated by you pushing the dispensing arm. You'll need a service tech for this repair if its a switch,.

I will assume that the ice maker is working but the ice doesn't dispense. If so you probably have ice stuck in the chute or the motor or gears that turn to dispense ice are no good.
If the unit makes noise when you try and dispense ice the its probably an obstruction, pull out the ice bin and check the chute, clear any ice out. If the unit does not make noise then you should call a technician to take a look.

Either water isn't hooked up or there's a blockage. The hose could be pinched, icemaker feedline frozen from lack of use, or an obstruction such as dirt, plastic, mold or mildew. If you want it you have to use it, and most icemaker woes arise from lack of use.

There are wires running from the ice maker to the dispenser. they have tiny plugs to connect the wires in the door to the ones in the freezer. check to see if they have pulled apart.

Unfortunately yes. Order a new part. If you can't install it yourself (my hubby can) then hire someone to do it. Bummer, huh?
