It will go in my basement. I have wooden beams. Should I drill and hang a hook on the bottom of the beam? Should I hang it to a joist?

Anyone (esp someone with pet hair to clean up) know of a really good vaccuum cleaner? I'd prefer one that allows you to clean the carpet too.

I'm trying to choose a vacuum. It's the first I've bought as my OWN vacuum, and I do care a lot about quality and cleanliness. So... I'm putting a lot of thought into it, probably way more than what's normal. But anyhow, I can't decide whether to go bagged or bagless. I grew up with bagged vacuums and tend to think they're more heavy duty and do a better job. But then again, that may just be a bias of mine.

So anyway, what are you opinions? And feel free to suggest specific vacuums too if you like. Understand that I'm working on a BUDGET though. Thanks.

I'm a (female) condo owner and my garage is built within a 30 unit structure of stalls. There was a fire that destroyed 11 of them and the fire stopped before my garage. Unfortunately, the smoke got in and my garage unit is filthy. When the reconstruction is complete I want to paint it from top to bottom but not sure what to do as far as cleaning/ painting the concrete floor. It is as simple as slapping a coat of grat paint over it? Its just a garage floor and I'm just thinking about trying to match it close as possable to what it once was.

My roommate and I are having a little debate over this. Does it waste more energy to turn the lights off and turn them back on 15 minutes later (like it would if it was your computer), or to just leave them on?

We've lived here w/ this big beautiful tree for 3 years now and I've never seen the needles die off (dry and rust colored). To the best of my knowledge it has always remained evergreen well "everblue" year round. Anybody know what's happening? I want to be able to save it. The needles are dying off from the trunk outward and so far have not reached out to the outmost say 12" of the tips. However within that foot you can see the blue turning into a pale green. Any arborists out there? Or anyone w/ Blue Spruce experience? Thanks in advance.

My dishwasher was only used for one year before it developed a problem. It got tossled around in a move and since then it doesn't drain. It sure will fill up just fine, but it doesn't drain out. Any ideas? Websites that may help? I'm too poor to shell out a hundred bucks or better to get it fixed and I'm too lazy to do dishes by hand so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
