Tell your kid that's Goldie's living happily ever after in the big underground fishbowl with my goldfish (bimbo) which my dad accidentally put in the freezer when I was five.
Sadly, that's not a joke.

What a silly place to ( temporarily ) keep your fish
Did you have a blond moment?
I am sorry to say,
the fish has been well and truly flushed into the sewage, system .
If it survives all the chemicals, people use in their toilets,
it will maybe turn up at the sewage processing plant ,
it may be stuck in one of the filters
or may successfully complete its journey
into a stream or lake .
where it may live its life out peacefully
I would like to think it survived !
the chances of survival, are better if it is a goldfish or other cold water variety
If it was a tropical fish ,the temperature would kill it very quickly.
Poor fishy :(

properly, cleansing the bowl is the only way you will save the fish alive, besides the undeniable fact that it is not "sturdy" for the fish. rather bowls are ineffective for shielding fish, because of the fact they are too small and not filtered, you could save cleansing them completely. that's annoying for the fish, and not common artwork for you. yet once you bypass away the fish in grimy water, that's going to die plenty speedier. So save changing the water until you could circulate the fish to an enhanced domicile. Ian

You cant have cared for it very much, putting it down the loo, all the chemicals and body waste, what on earth were you thinking??
its long gone, done a nemo and on its way into the sea by now.
Dont buy another if you cant be bothered to provide it somewhere clean and safe when cleaning out the bowl.

OOps!!! I agree that it's gone. Not necessarily a gonna just gone from your lives. Don't Lie to your child. Tell him/her that you made a terrible mistake and that you will both go to the shops together to replace it. You'll just have to deal with the upset with big cuddles and the promise of the trip to the shop. However important it is Not to lie, a Little white lie about it living happily in the nearest river will go down better than admitting you probably killed it! Don't forget to apologise for your mistake. If you do lie and regularly, and your child knows (they have that knack!) your child will never learn trust and who to trust. Everybody makes mistakes and that is a valuable lesson to learn, for Everybody, especially children.

I don't agree. There is every chance that it will still be in the Ubend ... but you may have to look a little further than just under the sink. it takes several flushes to work out to the sewer. Good luck!

My mum dropped the family fish down the kitchen drain once. But she ran straight outside and caught it as it was going down the drain. I think it's probably a bit too late for you though.
