i have taken out the thread i dont know how many times. and try agian to just get it started on a piece of scrap fabric and the thread from above is getting tangled up in the bobbin casing below. what in the world is going on with this thing? PLEASE HELP!!!

The tension on the thread or the bobbin is set incorrectly. It sounds like it is too loose. Try tightening the thread first....

Locate the tension adjusters on your machine. You should be able to adjust the top tension and the bottom (bobbin) tension separately. As a general rule, you can pretty much play with the top tension all you want but don't mess with the bottom tension until you have a lock on what the top tension adjust does.

You may have to start right from the beginning. I would re-thread your top thread, put a new needle in, and make sure your thread in the bobbin isn't ravelled (you may need to re-thread this also). There is a small screw on the side of the bobbin case, you could adjust that a little at a time. Use a small piece of scrap fabric until you get the stitches just right. The top stitch should be a little tighter than the bottom stitch, so you have a little give. Then again, if all else fails there's always the owners manual..Hope this helps.

I think you've got it done up wrong..... take out the bobbin casing and start again...

it may take a few tries-but try adjusting the tension. if thar doesn't work, take machine to any fabric store, they may be able to help you. it also may need a 'tune up'.
