You can clean the rug the same way that you would if it was a synthetics rug. You just need to be careful with what product you uses (neutral PH carpet cleaning solution is good) do not uses carpet spotters as they can be to harsh on the rug and cause brown stains to form. Try to dry it as quickly as you can by using a fan or if it is a small rug put it outside on a nice day).

Depending on the size, wash it in cold water in the washing machine and hang to dry. If too large to wash, a dry cleaners will do a good job. Good Luck!
