If you want to paint strips use blue painters tape, it comes in several different widths to choose from. Use a 3 foot level to gently pencil in your lines before you tape to be sure they are straight. I would not make each stripe the same width. Try using three different widths and perhaps a third color like white or pink. Horizontal lines will make your room look taller, vertical will make your room look smaller.

Brown and blue are suppose to be the hot new colors that people are matching, I would paint brown and blue stripes in your room, maybe using a lighter or darker blue that is what on your comforter, depending on what you like, if you do stripes, make sure you use the 3m blue painters tape, it works really well, a little tricking to take off, but it works.

Paint the entire room in the lighter color and let dry completely then put up painters tape on the walls where you want that color to remain. Once you have masked the room, just paint with the darker color. Be sure to burnish the edges of the tape down so the second color doesn't bleed underneath and ruin your clean edge. Don't wait until the paint is completely dry to take the tape down or you may find yourself removing chips of paint along with the tape.

First, paint the whole room one color, then put painters tape on to make it look like stripes, and then paint inbetween to make the stripes.

to paint stripes on the wall just use painters tape, make sure its the kind to use over painted areas so it doesnt peel the paint off. then just make the stripes on your wall with the tape and then paint between the lines.

What ever you % to do....try utilising blue painters tape. It made my initiatives plenty extra handy. It provides you a rapidly line and a crisp ingredient yet peels off without fuss and does not harm paint under it. try portray the room in a mild beige (tint alongside the colour of your comforter) yet do alternating stripes of matte (beige) coloration and satin(beige) coloration. diffused. possibly do key products of fixtures in the blue? basically an thought :)

Just don't do it... be sure that is what you want before you begin.
I don't really like those kind of schemes. Perhaps use wallpaper if you really want to decorate the walls.
