It doesn't happen everyday, but I was just wondering if it was safe too. I guess i'm really tired.

I have an astigmatism to my right eye. My left eye is completley blind d/t a inoperable cataract.

I wear glasses with balanced lenses just to even out that thickness of the lenses. When I wear my glasses it looks as if I am not looking at you with my left eye (as if I had a lazy eye) but my vision is fine on the right. Occassionally, I will wear a contact lense in my right eye (like for a formal event).

I recently had my eyes checked and my prescription was adjusted. I notice that when I wear my contact lense that my left eye looks a bit crossed then eventually does go crossed eyed when I'm wearing it for a while. Even though I don't wear my contact very often, when I do wear it I get somewhat of a headache after wearing it all day.

Is my eyes trying to get used tot he contact lense every time I wear it since I don't wear it often? Or should I get rechecked for the lense prescription/shape of the lense?

My prescription is quite high (between -6 and -7 in contacts for both eyes) and when I switch between glasses and contacts, it seems like everything is much smaller while I am wearing glasses and everything looks big when I'm wearing my contacts. Do other people experience this? Also, which is closer to "normal", glasses or contacts?

the other night i slept with my contacts (soft lens, plastic) still in for about 8 hours. when i woke up, they were not over the cornear, but rather nowhere on my eye. i never took them out, and they should still be somewhere on my eye, but i don't feel them. in fact, my eyes feel fine. do i still have reason to worry?

My new glasses seem to be dirty, but I bought them only two weeks ago. I'm far from the place I have them made so I'm asking u what to do. I have cleaned my glasses following the instructions given so that's not the matter. It's seems like drops of oil on the glass. These glasses are very expensive(free vision + transitions) so help me! Thanks

My right eye is corrected to 20/20, but my left is only to 20/30. They checked the prescription on the lenses and they are correct. The doctor said my left eye may need "Stimulation" to improve. He explained that this meant my brain had basically been shutting off the images from my left eye because my right eye was much stronger for so long and with my new glasses, "signals" from both eyes should be sent to the brain and I will be corrected to 20/20 after wearing them for a while. Is this something other new glasses wearers go through?

My prescription in both eyes is not very high I don't think, .75 in my right and 2.00 in the left. (For distance) I also have astigmatism in the left eye. If it makes a difference, I am 22 years old and this is my FIRST pair of glasses ever.

Thanks!

I just got new contacts. My vision is clear when I look at objects further away, but blurry when I attempt to read. I have worn glasses for ten years now, and I've never had this problem. People told me that I just had to wait for my eyes to adjust to the contact lenses, but its been a week now and still no difference. What's the problem here?

I have astigmatism, but these are toric lenses.

If I have a 30 min break after every hour spent on the computer would it be okay to spend for example 8 hours on the computer?

Or even if I am taking breaks does the number of hours still matter?

Can someone give me a rule of how long I should spend and break times etc.

Thanks alot.

I am basically blind without glasses or contact lenses, being the possessor of eyes with severe myopia, my eyes are also fairly dry, have a very steep base curve that makes it difficult for me to find suitable contact lenses, and i have moderate astigmatism to top it all off! Crazy! Lol. Does anyone else have such bad luck with their eyes, or is it just me?

I am 20 years old, about three years ago I went past any measurement on the 20/20 scale but fortunately was still able to wear high prescription glasses. A couple of weeks ago I went to an optometrist and she said the my prescription dropped past -14.00 and she was going to try different prescriptions so i could at least function some what normally in every day life. I have tried twice with her, the first time with her prescription, one of my eyes failed completely and would not work with the prescription. After the second trial, I still can't see (I see better with my old prescription) and am now constantly straining ( have horrible peripheral and have a hard time focusing no matter what I wear) I am going to an opthomalogist but I realize only a very few select brands actually go that high in prescription and I might not be able to fully correct my vision. What will they do? I have no eye diseases but no one can explain to my why my eyesight is so horrible and is still dropping.

My 4 year old son is drawing peoples faces upside down. He makes a circle, puts two more circles for eyes at the bottom, then a nose on top and a smile on top of that. He has done this over and over again. Is this indicative of any sort of visual or processing anomaly? I'm not necessarily worried...more curious. Thanks
