the other night i slept with my contacts (soft lens, plastic) still in for about 8 hours. when i woke up, they were not over the cornear, but rather nowhere on my eye. i never took them out, and they should still be somewhere on my eye, but i don't feel them. in fact, my eyes feel fine. do i still have reason to worry?

Most likely you lost them somewhere -in your bed maybe-if you don't feel them lift your upper eyelid and gaze downwards-ask someone to look under your eyelid. if its still in-its the only place it could be.But if this happens often you should consider using contacts made for night wearing.

Have someone look at your eye. Can they see a contact either on the front of the eye or tucked away in a corner? Were they extended wear lenses - which are designed to stay in for days?

You probably rubbed your eyes in the middle of the night and they came out. Contacts cant get lost in your eyes. So I wouldnt worry about. Just try not to sleep in your contacts.
