I am basically blind without glasses or contact lenses, being the possessor of eyes with severe myopia, my eyes are also fairly dry, have a very steep base curve that makes it difficult for me to find suitable contact lenses, and i have moderate astigmatism to top it all off! Crazy! Lol. Does anyone else have such bad luck with their eyes, or is it just me?

Believe me there are worse conditions if it will help you feel better. Many people suffer from severe myopia, astigmatism, dry eyes (altogether) and even have some other problems.

You should consult with your doctor about your condition as you may be a good candidate for laser eye surgery. That should solve most of your problems.

There are also eye exercises as an alternative to surgery that may help with your condition. You may need to practice them for several months for some considerable results. The exact mechanism of how they work is uncertain, but they do work. It seems that through exercising, your eyes and cornea somehow change into normal shape. They are also much safer than surgery.

No you are not cursed. Have you spoken to your ophthalmologist about your dry eyes? This can be resolved many times with a small plug inserted into your tear duct by the Dr. Another thing you need to consider is lasik surgery this surgery when preformed by a top surgeon is a true godsend. I had many of the same eye issues, but was fortunate enough to have had lasik surgery 9yrs ago. It is expensive (don't go to one of the doc in a box lasik centers) with a competent surgeon. Considering the money you will be saving on special astigmatism contacts, cleaners, eye drops for your dry eyes and the wear and tear that contacts put on your eyes over the years it is a great investment.

Is this a poker game?
I see your myopia (I get to -13D), steep corneas (down to 7.10 ) and astigmatism (-3.00DC)
Though my tears are pretty normal.

I raise you: tight eyelids and large pupils, a history of eye surgery at the age of 18 (excess convergence in a myope: unusual) and central serous retinopathy in my right eye five years ago. (V/A now back to 6/6 20/20)

I did find contacts to overcome my Rx and eyes, but found the real problem was I couldn't be bothered with them.
