I have this problem that my eyes get occasionally red in the evening/night. I don't wear any contacts and it seems to get worse after i drink some beer/go into a smoking area.

Do not use visine repeatedly it is not good for your eyes and specificallys says on the bottle to not use for more than 10 days. Your problem is likely dry eyes which in your situation is likely associated with being tired, dehydration from beer, and smoke. If getting more sleep, not drinking or going into smoky areas is not an option then try to use artificial tears such as refresh or systane. Your eyes are red because they are dry and lubrication will help out.

it seems your eyes are sensitive toward smoke and dust.
well for dust the protection you can use is day and night glasses of zero power while driving a two wheeler and going out in evening.

For smoking area i will recommend you that try avoiding smoking area and have beer somewhere else or at home.

Well, then, don't drink and stay away from smokers.
Causes of "red eye" (besides the infamous "red eye" of photographs) include:
Insufficient sleep
Irritants
A) smoking
B) environmental
Medications, especially eye drops
Illnesses
And, of course, eye diseases (I have both glaucoma and cataracts!)
Sounds as though you merely need to change your life style. Otherwise, see an eye doctor.

Skip the bars, ditch the booze, drop the weed, or perhaps easier get a bottle of Visine to carry and be prepared to use it repeatedly.
