It's tough to get use to it, but once you start hard contact lenses, you usually don't go back to soft ones, because by changing, the myopia could continuously increase again.

You probably got a "wearing schedule" from your eye doctor when you got the hard lenses. I've been wearing hard or gas permeable lenses since 1965 - well before you were born. I love them. In effect, you need to follow the wearing schedule in the beginning so that the surfaces of your eyes more or less build up calluses, so the lenses feel natural.

For years now, I've been able to wear my lenses as much as 20 hours per day or leave them out for a week or so and then put them back in for a full day.

Once your eyes get used to the lenses, I'm sure you'll love them and the freedom to not have the glasses on.

The hard or gas permeable lenses hold the surface of your eyes better than soft lenses, so your prescription is less likely to change. After my first pair of contacts when I was in Junior High School, I didn't have a prescription change for 18 years. I'm actually only on my 4th precription change now after 42 years, because I changed to bifocal contacts. I didn't want to wear contacts supplemented by reading glasses - I did that for a year and a half.

Get your wearing schedule back on track and you'll love having your contacts. Good luck.

some will inform you no touch, others will say communicate as much as attainable. counting on the couple and undertaking, the two a sort of would desire to be doable techniques. the key's inspite of the undeniable fact that, in basic terms you would be sure what works for you. My suggestion is uncooked honesty. no you could actually shelter the consistent back and forth antics, and that's tormenting. possibly she does would desire to decide what she needs yet so do you! you have innovations, thoughts, and a say in all of this too. it won't be able to be based round her on my own. in case you sit down back and permit her to do regardless of she needs considering the fact which you adore her, you would be ignoring each and all of the negativity you sense contained in the approach. this could at last rear its gruesome head and disrupt the dating in case you do come again mutually. My suggestion could be to ask your self basically how plenty you could take and draw obstacles. tell her in the present day up which you already know what she's asserting she desires, yet you're in this too and have desires of your guy or woman. Be authentic and sturdy to your self, by using fact in case you won't be able to be that for your self you actual won't be able to be that for everyone else! superb of success to you guy!

just try and stick it out. most new gas perm wearers take about 30 days to fully adapt IMO.

thats the bad news. the GOOD NEWS IS...gas perm wearers have some of the best vision of any contact lens wearers, they are usually some of the happiest contact lens patients, they usually spend LESS on their contacts in the long run, and they usually have some of the HEALTHIER corneas of all contact lens wearers. plus the possibility of myopia progression that you allude to.

its a good deal. just stick it out and be patient...good luck!
