Every morning when I wake up my eyes are just really sore... it's new; just started like two weeks ago, and nothing has changed. They just hurt a lot and I don't want to open them... like they're red and tired. Sometimes eye drops work but sometimes not. Any suggestions?

Hi. I've flown a few times, and never have any problems... except for one thing. When I'm on a long haul flight, I get cramping sensations in my stomach area. I know it's probably because of sitting down for so long. What I want to know is... Is there any way to stop this happening without walking around so much. I do walk around a little, but it's just to the toilet and for the prevention of problems with my legs (varicose veins and other ailments). And, is it because I'm sitting down so much? or just being crammed into economy class with little legroom and things? I'm a webpage designer and I've been known to sit in the same place for 14 hours+

Thanks in advance.

I have a really strange condition in mainly my hips and my knees, that causes stabbing pain right in my hip flexers and knees. It's really inconsistant, and is more painful with increased activity. I'm on pills for pain and inflammation, those only help a little. When it is not a stabbing pain, it is a throbbing pain and hurts so bad i'm crying. My joints do not hurt to the touch and do not swell. My blood tests are negative for arthritis. I have a small case of scolioses in my upper spine, and i've had these pains for 3 years. If you have ANY idea what this could be, please let me know.

I got a 50-minute, full-body, deep tissue massage to help muscle aches and stresses. This is my first massage ever. After my massage I came home and started feeling my neck becoming stiff. And now, I can't even turn my head left/right because of the stiffness. Is this normal? How long does the stiffness last? What should I do to help reduce the stiffness?

( i already asked this question, but didnt get alot of answers)
i was at the hospital meeting with my surgeon(im getting a posterior lumbar fusion). Before a team of doctors came in the room, i started to feel really sick (like i was going to throw-up) and got really hot (my mom and dad said it was freezing in there). Also i was shivering alot, and got kind of dizzy. What do u think happened? If it helps i was so scared, and im a 14 yr old girl. i know i wasn’t dehydrated because i had my blood pressure taken, and they said it was fine latter that day. Thanks for all the answers.
p.s. my surgery is Wednesday, any ideas that the same thing won't happen again? should i tell my doctor what happened?

I've had a severe headache for 3 days now. Over the counter medication does not help - not even migraine tablets. I have seen the out of hours GP today who gave me Codeine and diclofenac which took most (but not all) the pain away but left me feeling really drugged and dozy. I won't be able to work like that, especially as I have to fly to Southampton (from Yorkshire) on Monday for 2 days. I'm drinking at least 2-3 litres of water or water based drinks (i.e. sugar free diluted cordials, etc), plus my usual tea (about 4-6 large mugs a day). I exercise, I've been going out to the park with my son to get some fresh air, etc. but it won't shift. I know it's not a migraine as I have those occassionally and this is different - across the top of my head rather than over my eyes where I would normally get migraine pain, although I am sensitive to light. Any suggestions as to what this could be or what else I could do to ease the pain without being drugged up?

This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first was unbelieveably painful but with my first i got to hospital too late to have an epidural.

This time I am opting NOT to have epidural because i already have back problems and i have heard that the injection can sometimes cause back injury. So it seems my only option is to have a natural birth.

Can anyone recommend any material (DVD/book) i can use to help myself cope with the pain. Also if you have used the material yourself, how effective was it?
