Hot, cold, wet, dirty, hungry or tired.

Or is there a more uncomfortable feeling.

It is far more uncomfortable to be sitting in that chair in the office, knowing you screwed up and got caught but not knowing your ultimate fate when that door opens and the decision is renedred any time now.

You can be hot, cold, wet, dirty, hungry and tired but it still won't ease the guy wrenching feeling you have right now!

g-day!

Hi, I love hot, I don't mind wet, but hate cold.
Being cold and wet is a horrible thing.
I suppose that I have encountered your all three in one go, in that living in thr Mid-East, I had an all three in one go.
Too hot - strip off. Nightime on the beach - too cold. Covered in local dodgy sand, so dirty, stuff breakfast on the home made grill, I will swim, as I am hungry.
So I cannot describe a "worst"
As in retrospect it was all uncomfy, but freindly.
As long as the cold box is full of booze, after the bacon sarny, I will not complain about it it being nippy last night.

Itchy testicles is, however, a nuisance.

Dear Baby
All of those feelings are really horrible, but they can be easily remedied. They don't have to go on forever.
Count yourself lucky, baby, that you haven't mentioned the two most uncomfortable feelings anyone can experience.
Yes, worse, worst and worser than being hot, cold, wet, hungry and tired.
They are to feel neglected and unloved.
Hope you never feel them!

I cannot stand to be hot ! Since I had chemo and Breast Cancer 6 years ago my internal thermometer doesn't work very well, and once I start to overheat I end up burning up! Not nice at all. I usually dread the summer as I have to spend nearly all day in a cool shower, so this year has been quite good for me in that respect! lol:-))

Hot is worst - at least you can put on clothes for cold, dry yourself if you are wet, eat if you are hungy and sleep if you are tired. There are only SO many clothes you can take off in heat before you can go no further!

None of the feelings you describe are very comfortable but they all denote aliveness for want of a better word. And where there's life there's still hope. A cliché I know. But I would rather feel any of the things you mention above hopelessness or nothingness.

If you had added 'thirsty' to your list I'd have picked that.

Of those I would think that long term hunger would be the worst. However, severe pain, especially chronic pain, and depression would be much more significantly uncomfortable as they might not be able to be fixed with an air conditioner/fan, coat, bath, food, or sleep.

Definitely hungry especially if you're really starving. It almost feels like your stomach acids are eating your insides. The rest you may not like but can usually deal with.

A friend of mine who has been sick most of her life got shingles and said she didn't know the body could endure so much pain w/o blacking out. It was like a thousand needles jabbing her nerves over and over again. Even silk felt like it was scratching her deep. I had chickenpox as a kid. I pray I never get that.

Lonely. But maybe if one remembers that he is neither hot, nor wet, nor dirty, nor hungry, nor tired, one may actually find some comfort. I don't know.

Being sick is another uncomfortable feeling.

And couple more, humiliated or betrayed.

I don't like to be hot...it makes me wet, dirty AND tired all at once.
