Ayurvedic treatment [Chikitsa] does not mean suppressing the main symptoms and creating some new ones as side effects of the main treatment. It is to remove the root cause and give permanent relief.

I'm a 23yr old female. I recently have chest pains on my left side. It feels like I need to burp but nothing comes out. I feel pressure on it and I have difficulty breathing when it happens. What can it be? Heart burn? Am I too young for that? I do not smoke, drink, and it does not occur after exercise. 8 out of 10 times it occur after eating. What can it be?

I am hopeful that someone has a good natural remedy. I do not want to take any Advil, Asprin, Tylenol or anything like that.

I am suppose to take 2 pills every 4-6 hours. It makes me totally loopy, really sleepy, and itchy(no rash, just really itchy like I have fleas!!). I have taken it for 5 days and have hardly any relief from pain. Has anyone else had this not work for them? What about side effects?

I have had pain in my heel for the last few months; however, recently, the pain has increased. I went to see a doctor but am not sure that i agree with his diagnosis as I am a health care professional myself. Any clues to why my heel may be hurting? I do not believe it is plantar fascitis as it does't feel like I am stepping on knives or toys, it just is painful in general. Please help.

Honestly, it's easier to buy a new car or a house than it is to buy a new mattress. We have shopped to exhaustion. I even tried to look up info online but that just made it even harder to pick one.

My husband and I settled on one of the Ortho brand back supporter pillow top kind with this new memory foam. It's made by Ortho Mattress, Inc. and sold only in their own stores.

It felt fine in the store but now that we got one home, it is way to firm and I am struggling with some increased body pain. Of course it was expensive ($1,400.00 on sale). The cheaper one's seemed worse...

We almost bought a Sealy posturpedic but that seemed to soft and took around 28 days to deliver so my husband canceled the order.....

Is there a brand out there that really helps?

Before I started my new teaching job, I was not out of shape, but I hadn't been super active, either. My classroom is located upstairs and the stairway is about 15 to 18 steps.
I started work on Aug.14th. It was tough at first with sore legs and heavy breathing after each climb. As I got stronger, stair-climbing became easier. Best of all, I began losing weight!
However, my workload increased (paper grading, lessonplans, etc.), and I have begun toting a backpack (loaded down with books) as well as my purse and lunch. In addition to that, I roll a wheeled briefcase (also loaded down), which I also carry up the stairs.
This past Friday, I worked late and noticed a slight knee pain in the back of my left knee each time I went up the stairs. Before leaving, my knee had begun to swell and was very painful. It is most painful on stairs. Slightly painful when walking.
I was curious to know if anyone had an idea of what problem might be and/or what treatment might be involved.

Hi! At the end of the day after 8 straight hours working and moving about I feel so much pain on both areas around my uppermost end of the limbs the curve where connects the joints to my inner thigh and find it very difficult walking. While at work, the pain´s not the same, its only when I get back home after lifting myself out the car seat do I the acute pain begins. If this is due to extreme exhaustion at work why do I only feel this pain after working? Would this pain be due to exhaustion? I´m 53. This happens everyday after work. Is it because due to age that I have lost the flexibility of tendons around this area?..the discomfort /pain runs down my legs up to my feet. At work I walk and constantly move about and don´t have time to sit during all the 8 hours except for a 10 minute break for lunch. Is there anything I can do to avoid this pain?

If I sleep on my right or left side, I get excrutiating pain in my shoulders, regardless how I position my arms. I can only sleep on my stomach with my arms along side my body. If my knee's touch they too experience excrutiating pain. I am in good health otherwise, not under-or overweight, I am a male 38 years old. It sucks that I can't lie on my side, not even while watching TV on the couch. Anybody?

I'm not quite sure how this pain started, but my upper back and the right side of my neck are experiencing brutal pain. It's the type of ache where the muscles are tense, almost stiff. I've gotton several massages, and have taken warm to hot showers. I have normal sleeping habits, and have a healthy and well balanced diet. Is there any way in which I could make myself feel at least a bit better?
If this is any reason why this pain is here today, it's most likely the stress I've been through (studying, working all the time). I wish I can relax more, but I have so many things to do, and so little time to do them.
I'm in pain, and I'm miserable (as far as my back goes). Please, some home-made advice?

I herniated my L5 last year in December. I am a track runner and distance runner, so my doctor thinks the trauma caused by the running and weak abs may have caused it. Anyway, im actually regaining flexibility and movement, but does anyone know how long it takes to fully heal? I cant wait to get back to running!
