The most consistent relief I've found is from an herbal product called Nux Vomica. You can find ordering information at the first link below. Among "normal" medications, Midrin has worked best, but not all the time. I've also taken Excedrin Migraine with some success.

I take a couple aspirins with a little bit of coke or something with caffeine. (those are the key ingredients in migraine medicine). Go to a dark, quiet place for a couple minutes and relax. Also, don't drink cold water because that only makes it worse.

My doc prescribed Ketorolac and I have to give a shot to myself in the butt. Its painless but it works wonders. It takes a short 20 minutes to work. If I can tell I am getting a migraine then I take Excedrin, but if I wait too long then I have to use the ketorolac. Its not good to take all the time, very harsh on the heart, but you might as your doc...

If you have insurance. There are very expensive shots they can give you and they sure work nicely. Some over the counter meds work to a certain extent. Also, some people get relief from caffeine products, it made mine worse. You will have to try different things...to find the "method" that works best for you.

I wish there was one and only one correct answer.

well, caffeine is like a drug,(not that it will kill you like crack or something) in your brain if you drink caffeine every day, your body starts to build up chemicals that give you that good awake feeling, when you do not drink caffeine your body goes throw withdraw symptoms(like if you try to stop drugs but not as bad) and when those chemicals in you brain get low you body who is used to them, starts to hurt and you feel like crap, that is why you get a migraine from not drinking coffee, that is your body telling you, hay you gave me caffeine every day, why did you not today. So how do you make that go away you drink more caffeine, and then those chemicals in your brain build up again, and you feel good again, it is the same way as if you are addicted to drugs, did you ever notice that the more days that you drink coffee the more you need to wake up the next day.
