I started having this pain in my chest when I got up too quickly. My chest only hurts when I sit up and my breathing is fine and everything. I think I might have pulled a muscle in my chest...Do you have any idea what it could be.?

Pain in the chest can be many things. With out more specific information it's impossible to tell.

Is your heart rate normal and regular?-Then it's probably not a heart problem. If your heart is beating very fast (120-180 bpm) and/or is highly irregular, then you should go to a hospital and have it checked out by a doctor.

It also depends on what kind of pain it is. Is it a sharp pain? Is it similar to a soar muscle? or is it a slow throbbing type pain?

Sharp pain in the chest, especially when breathing in deeply, or in certain positions can be an infection of the chest wall, or inflammation of the lungs. While these are not generally dangerous by themselves, if it persists for several days, you should go to a doctor and have it checked out.

If it's a muscular pain, does it hurt to move your arms in certain positions? It is possible that you pulled a muscle in your chest somewhere.

Based on what you have given us, I would say it's an infection of the chest wall. But without more information, we can't really give you anything beyond an educated guess.

Often the ache is moderate however mostly it is so unhealthy I can barley take a breath. It additionally feels find it irresistible begins on the backside of my rib cage after which travels up my aspect because it slowly is going away. I was once instructed by means of my surgeon it was once "developing" pains. Then whilst I was once older, I introduced it up once more and he stated it might be a muscle junk mail. It's been months considering the fact that I've had one. With me, the ache simplest final a couple of seconds and on the such a lot a minute or 2. They additionally simplest look to occur a few times in an afternoon whilst i do have them. I could endorse that in the event that they arise extra as a rule, a couple of occasions in an afternoon I'd see any one approximately it. It might be not anything or it might be anything (style of noticeable reply).

You really should go to the hospital. You probably did hurt something--as in, it's not a cardiac situation--but it's probably a very good idea to go to the ER to get checked out. Chest pain is nothing to fool around with.
