My feet hurt every morning. It feels like thorns in my ankles, they feel stiff. They also swell every now and then. What could be causing this? I have large ankles.. could this have an effect on my foot pain?

I have three herniated disks (L4, L5, & L5/S1), the doc prescribed oxycodone for now, they do not help much at all unless i take two. They are the 5mg oxycodone/325 acetaminophen...doc wants me to have surgury but I am only 24 and own/operate landscaping company without health insurance...any suggestions?

It hurts on the top part of my big toe, right behind the toenail. It is all red and swollen!!! I am freaking out because it hurts to walk!!! And I know I didn't do anything to injure it because I was sleeping. Any ideas? And don't say go to the doctor because a.)It's Sunday and b.)My insurance doesn't start for another month lol but I guess I will tomorrow if I have to.

it is about the size of a quarter and i can see it when i look in the mirror. it hurts to turn my head and the pain goes from the bump up to the base of my skull. what can this be?! its not tender to the touch but its pretty large (for being on the side of my neck)

I'm at home with my brother and he started not feeling good a couple of hours ago. And then he ran to the bathroom and vomited 4 times! And then he went to lay back down and he just ran in the bathroom and vomited again. Now he has diareah. I dont know what to do. I have him some pepto bismol and a soda to help calm his stomach because that's what helps me. But its not helping him. What's something I can give him to help him. Name anything even if I have to fix it for him like food or something. What's some good medicine or anything. Thanx lots.

First off I hope this makes since lol. Because every once and awhile mine falls.Your foot feels like you got gout in your foot it becomes so sore and stiff.

For a while now, I've been able to feel something in my lower back move. It moves out then back in. It hasn't hurted until a month ago. I thought it would go away on its own, but it hasn't. Now, it hurts to sit, walk, lay....really to do anything. My doc appt. isn't until next week. I just want some ideas as to what it could be. I know it's not normal.

the first time i drank a lot, the next morning my liver hurt a lot!!!! now it hurts me occasionally. i don't really drink that much, only like once a month, so is there anything else that could make it hurt?

You've been suffering from back pain for quite a while. You have 6 herniated disks, find a doctor that seems to be the only one who has been able to help you. You trust and suffer through 6 epidurals, lower and upper back. When you are in pain like that, the last thing you are thinking about is flirting. Trust me, you are begging to get the epidurals over with and dread having to go back.

You leave in pain and not really understanding what just happened and why?
You never get a phone call from the doctor to explain his actions.
Wouldn't you think he would call right away in fear you would report him? He's also married.

I would love your take on this....

What would any of you do? I'm shocked and humiliated.

I'm often bothered with headaches but this is a really bad one this time its at the front of my head and pain killers are not helping at all had as much I can take. I've had it now for 3 days got my eyes tested today and everything was okay someone mentioned a migrane my mum gets them and she can't get out of bed and shes always sick but I'm not sick and I'm able to get about so whats causing them? I'm getting fed up with them now.

I turned around and my ear popped, and now everything that I hear with that ear sounds dull and bogged up. I tried popping my ears again, but they would not pop. Does anyone have any idea how I can get it to go back to normal?

I started on a low dose of methotrexate for RA. Has anyone taken this before and I would like to know your reactions to it. I am nervous about it because I know the dose is going to increase but I would do anything to get out of pain. Any comments or personal experiences with this would be appreciated.

i was doing a lot of heavy lifting at home in my gym, and then i went to work that day, and now this morning my whole body was sore, but i have to go to work and be on my feet for 8 hours and lift stuff too...i have 2 work tommorow morning is there anything i can do to get rid of the pains and sores(cant call out sick)

I was at a concert and decided to help the girl i went to get concert with get a better view. Shes not fat, maybe 5'1 ,125 pounds. After 10 mins my back started to hurt, then my neck. When she came down, it was really hard to breath, my chest started hurting, i was in bad shape for 5 mins. Im not fat, i dont have heart conditions, Should i worry?

I've been taking classes for gymnastics and is currently really sore in my legs and arms. I'm used to being sore becuase i'm involved in several sports and such, but have avoided stretching when i'm sore. Does stretching when one is sore help at all or does it just make it worse? Please let me know. Thanks

Hello, Whenever I consume alcohol I get a sharp pain in my stomach that is very sore and painful. I'm only 17 and don't consume alcohol very often at all and no matter how little or strong the alcohol is I will get a pain. I don't mind not drinking however I am very curious to why this occurs and is this serious? One time I fell so ill i was almost unable to stand up straight from the pain and could not go to work and I didn't drink much at all. Friends of mine consume large amounts of alcohol and I can hardly any. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

my wife is just over two months pregnant and along with her horrible morning sickness she has been having terrible pain in her left shoulder. there is no swelling and when she moves it there is no pain,only when she lays on that side(left) does she have issues.
we have been to the doctor and they did blood tests x-rays(they loaded her up like a roman soldier with lead shields) etc and said she must have just strained it during her dry heaves. i dont think so, i have pulled muscles from dry heaving from when i was sick or i had too much to drink but ive never been in the pain she is in.
what gives?
any ideas?

i have been taking anti-inflammatories for several months because of herniated discs. i have recently been having stomache problems(burning,indigestion,vomiting blood) so i stopped taking them. my question is will i be able to take any type of medication in the future without upsetting my stomache,and if so what types of medication would be useful.

ive taken mobic,relafen,ibuprofen,aspirin,and aleve. all of which are too hard on my stomache and the doctors tell me that they are the cause of my stomache bleeding. plus they were never effective in relieving the pain anyway

I have been experiencing this pain in my left thumb for a couple of weeks now. This morning, the pain has grown intense. I cant clench my left fist because of my thumb. I cant even straighten my left thumb. It looks sore. Even a simple touch send pain. and It feels like a throbing sensation. Please help?

it starter happening like to days ago. when i breath it hurts so i have to sort take short breaths. esp.hen i cough it hurt like hell. im 20 yrs old and i smoke and i havent been to the dr in like months. i felt it as i was coughin i didnt realize it b/c i always get this every once in a while when i breathe but this did not go away i was wondering if u knew what it was

For the past two weeks I have had numbness and pain in my left leg and numbess in my left shoulder to the wrist. I also had a pain in my right leg. I had a deep tissue massage doen to my left leg, right leg and shoulder. While I am no longer experiencing pain, my left arm and sometime the left leg still have the tingly feeling. I feel fine and healthy otherwise, but I am curious to what's causing the tingling. I am also doing stretches, which helps somewhat.
